Bio

Dr. Orr is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract, glaucoma, anterior segment surgeries. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University in 1979, followed by a two-year internship at Wake Forest University in Internal Medicine. Dr. Orr completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Orr began practicing locally in 1984. He has completed over 40,000 cataract and related procedures since. Dr. Orr was one of the first surgeons in the Midwest to use advanced cataract surgery techniques such as “no shot and no patch” cataract surgery, which allows for almost instant improvement in the patient’s vision. Dr. Orr also specializes in using laser treatment at the time of cataract surgery to treat glaucoma.
