Patient Registration Specialist:

This position serves as the first point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming and professional experience from arrival through checkout. The role manages patient check-in and check-out, verifies and updates patient information, collects payments, schedules follow-up appointments, and ensures accurate documentation within the practice management system. This position also supports front office operations by coordinating patient flow, assisting with phones, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area while delivering exceptional customer service.

Surgical Coordinator:

This position coordinates and schedules ophthalmic surgical procedures at ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals, ensuring patients are well prepared for their procedures. The role serves as a liaison between patients, surgeons, facilities, and insurance providers to arrange scheduling, obtain authorizations and referrals, and coordinate pre- operative clearances. This role also ensures accurate documentation and insurance verification to support timely reimbursement while providing clear communication and exceptional patient service throughout the surgical scheduling process.

Patient Concierge:

The Patient Concierge team serves as a primary point of contact for patients calling into the practice, assisting with scheduling, answering questions, and coordinating appointments via phone and email. This role maintains physician schedules, manages incoming calls, processes referrals, and prepares patient information for upcoming visits. The position ensures a positive patient experience by providing professional, courteous communication while maintaining confidentiality and supporting efficient front
office operations.

Billing Representative:

The primary function of this role is to advocate for the patient to ensure their claims process through their insurance carrier. This includes ensuring patient claims are received, processed and paid in a timely manner, focusing on the insurance accounts receivable. In this role you may be involved in writing claim appeals, processing rejected claims, posting of insurance or patient payments, answering patient questions on the phone along with following business office policies and procedures to strengthen our Revenue Cycle.

Refractive Patient Educator:

The Refractive Patient Educator is responsible for providing comprehensive education and counseling to patients considering cataract surgery. The role involves guiding patients through the decision-making process by discussing surgical options, potential outcomes, and recovery expectations. The educator collaborates with the surgeon to ensure that patients have a clear understanding of their choices, addressing concerns and answering questions regarding different surgical techniques, including laser-assisted cataract surgery and advanced technology intraocular lenses (IOLs). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong ability to explain complex medical information in a simple and approachable manner.

Ophthalmic Technician:

The Ophthalmic Technician supports clinical operations by performing a variety of diagnostic tests, collecting patient histories, and documenting clinical information to assist providers in the evaluation and treatment of ocular diseases. This role educates patients about procedures, prepares them for examinations, and assists physicians with in-office procedures. The technician is also responsible for maintaining ophthalmic equipment, ensuring exam rooms are clean and prepared, and supporting efficient clinic operations while delivering high-quality patient care.

Registered Nurse:

The role of Registered Nurse is essential in ensuring quality care for each patient entrusted to our care. Registered Nurses work closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and other medical personnel to act as the patient advocate and steward as they navigate the surgical process and support patients from the moment, they enter the clinic’s doors through post-operative care.

Surgical Scrub Technician:

This role supports surgical operations by preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience. The position involves maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, and assisting with equipment, documentation, and overall operating room efficiency. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards are essential.
