Branden Shaffer, OD

Dr. Branden Shaffer joined Eye Surgeons of Indiana as a consultative optometrist in 2020. Originally from Naperville, IL, he received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University. Dr. Shaffer went on to graduate with honors from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2019.

Dr. Shaffer’s training was focused on the treatment and management of ocular disease. He completed externships at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, The Villages VA Outpatient Clinic in The Villages, FL, Indianapolis Eye Care Center, and Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers.

He then went on to complete a 13-month post-doctoral residency program at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, KY. The residency is a competitive program where he trained intensively in glaucoma, cataract, retina, and cornea clinics. During the residency program, he became trained and certified in expanded therapeutic procedures. He was also responsible for providing after-hours emergent treatment.
