What is Presbyopia?
Presbyopia is the gradual loss of the eye’s ability to see near objects clearly. It is a normal part of aging and typically begins shortly after age 40. The primary symptom of presbyopia is having to hold reading materials farther away in order to see them clearly. Presbyopia occurs due to the loss of flexibility of our natural lens inside the eye.
What is Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)?
Refractive lens exchange is a procedure that replaces the natural lens with a clear artificial lens. The new lens will help you see better and reduces your dependency on glasses and contact lenses. This procedure offers the following benefits:

What is Involved in Treatment with RLE?
RLE is a 15 minute painless outpatient procedure. Your eyes will be numbed with anesthetic drops and you will be given a sedative to help you remain comfortable.
